On short notice, Adwoa Wilson was assigned to provide live in nursing assistant care for my father during the final year of his life. It was a difficult assignment as my father had limited mobility and significant health issues. Adwoa provided this live-in, nursing assistant care in-home on a 24/7 basis. Transitions are never easy, and the desire to age in place or move in with one’s children has become an increasing trend. In the case of Ms. Viola Livingston, the stress accompanying her return home from the hospital was eased by a local home health care company. While living with her daughter, Sharon Livingston, in her home in Mitchellville, Md., Viola had been admitted to the hospital for rehabilitative services in July.
